The SAAB29, or J29 as was the Swedish name on it, is a classical Swedish military aircraft. Through the years more than 650 airplanes were built, and during 1950 the J29 was the back bone of the Swedish air defence.

During the years 1953 - 1964 the plane also served at the F10 wing, in the south of Sweden. During the Kongo crises the version J29B served under the UN between 1961 to 1963.

In 1991 a descision was made at the F10 Wing in Sweden, to restore a J29 to flight condition. The technical crew, receiving the honours, was the F10 "Kamratförening", former flight engeneers and other technical personell at the F10 Wing.

For 3 years a total over haul of the air craft was made, and today the J29F "Gul Rudolf" flies again!
